As per sources Home Minister P Chidambaram said on two-volume report that “the Srikrishna committee recommendations onTelangana will be discussed with the political parties and added that it will be made public on January 6, 2011.”

Srikrishna Committee report has 5 suggestions: Home Minister P Chidambaram made public the Srikrishna Committee report on Telangana. The committee gave five suggestions.
1. To maintain status quo – formation of three regional boards for Telangana
2. To divide the state into Andhra and Telangana
3. To create union territory with Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy and Nalgonda districts. To make Hyderabad as common capital city.
4. Rayala Telangana state with Telangana and Rayalaseema and Andhra as another state and
5. To maintain status quo without any changes.
