As per sources The much awaited entry level Sedan of Toyota, The Etios has finally grace the Indian roads, It means World’s largest car maker Toyota has launched Etios in India on 2010-1st December(2010-12-01). At the launch, Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. said that the company is aiming to sell 70,000 cars based on the Etios platform in 2011. Speaking at the launch, Toyota Motor Corporation President Akio Toyoda told reporters, “This is my first visit to India in the last four years. This historically marks a new chapter for Toyota in India.” The company is present in India through a joint venture with the Kirloskar Group.
Features and Specifications of Toyota Etios:
Interiors of the Etios is ergonomically designed which make the car extremely spacious and comfortable. There is ample headroom and legroom and many thoughtful storage spaces that makes room for everything you need. A spacious 13 litre cooled glove box is also in place which gives you the luxury of storing all your belongings. It also offers best in class luggage space (595 litres).

Etios is presently powered with highly fuel efficient and light weight 1.5 litre petrol engine producing 90 PS and a torque of 132Nm@3000 rpm. The engine offers unparallel driving experience.

Toyota has provided the car with SRS airbags to reduce the head and upper torso’s impact on the steering wheel or the dash panel to protect you from frontal collision. Other safety features include Anti-Lock Breaking System (ABS) with EBD which ensures smooth stop while breaking.
