Speaking at the launch, Sam Burd, Vice President, Consumer, Small and Medium Business Product Group, Dell said, “With the V130, we are adding the functionality customers asked for without sacrificing the beautiful design they fell in love with in the V13. Starting today, I predict the V130 will fast become the must have travel companion for today’s mobile professional.”

The model is built on aluminum and magnesium-alloy with a dimension of 0.65″ thin in front and 0.78″ thin at rear. The laptop weighs just 1.5 KG. It has a 13.3″ crisp and bright anti-glare screen with the usual 1366 x 768 pixels resolution and the keyboard’s pretty comfortable for typing. Dell Vostro V130 is the successor of V13 and is equipped with a hard drive of 320GB or one can go for a 128GB SSD (solid state disk) instead. The laptop also features a 2 megapixel webcam and microphone. Other features Intel’s Hyperbaric Cooling system, which gently sucks in air to cool the processor. Vostro V130 bestows three USB ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 5-in-1 card reader. Dell V130 also has an HDMI port, Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11n Wi-Fi, plus options.
